Hopefully your weather is good…
Whether you are in warm enough weather to play golf or getting ready for some serious steelheading in the Pacific Northwest, hopefully the conditions are right for you to enjoy your favorite outdoor recreation activities. We are getting over some signifcant (for us) snow but now have had some sunshine and the rivers should be in good shape. In the Eastern part of Washington State ice fishing is doing pretty well. Personally I have never tried ice fishing, primarily because on the West side of the Cascades it doesn’t get cold enough to freeze the lakes over.
So, while focusing primarily on fishing and golf, Golfandcasting.com will try to bring you news and information on outdoor sports and recreation. We will also keep an out for good deals on equipment and supplies, as well as provide access to some of the top brand products available.
My primary focus lately has been on my site, http://shwarp.com, a golf tee time booking site which is licensed by Golf Channel Solutions, and uses the same booking engine as the popular Golfnow program. Now that we have changed Golfandcasting.com to a blog format, I will spend more time with it.
For this post, I would like to share a very unique and excellent recipe. One evening several years ago I was returning home from the Ocean Shores, Washington after a razor clam dig and while passing through the small city of Aberdeen I was listening to the only radio station I could find, KXRO Radio. The host, Rich Daneker said that he had a razor clam recipe posted on his website at the station. He said that if you try it, you will probably never fry them in oil again. I tried it and used it ever since. Rich’s Broiled Razor Clams
